Another code to give away....

I'm giving away a Simply Hangman code.

As it is a word game, I think that it would be appropriate that to enter; you must post a word that you find interesting or entertaining, along with its description as a comment to this post. Please no profanity.

This giveaway will run for 48 hours, which will mean that it finishes at 1500BST Tuesday the 29th of September 2009, but as I'm still at work at that time, let's make it 1900BST Tuesday the 29th of September 2009.

  • The winner will be chosen at random from all the entrants.
  • Once the winner is announced, they will have 48 hours to get in contact to claim the prize, otherwise a redraw will take place. Either through twitter or the contact form on this site
  • The decision is final.
  • Whilst we try to the best of our ability to ensure that all codes given out are genuine and valid, we will not accept any responsibility for any codes that do not work.

Again, apologies for the late redraw!

The winner is @Davicams. You have 48 hours to claim your prize. If the prize is not claimed by 2340BST on Thursday the 1st of October, there will be a redraw.

Thanks everyone for entering... You gave us some interesting words with some equally interesting reasons for liking those words :)

This prize has now been claimed.

Word - Liver Flukes

Pancreatic and liver flukes are worms or parasites that infect domestic cats. They infect the biliary tract, which is part of the liver and gallbladder that supports the flow of bile, and the pancreas.

Pancreatic and liver flukes are caused by the trematodes (worms)

Platynosomum concinnum

Eurytrema procyonis

During the life cycle of flukes, the eggs passed in cat feces are ingested by snails. A toad or lizard must then ingest the snail and in turn, the cat must ingest the toad or lizard.

Hope you enjoy a little pet medical education.

Thanks!

obfuscate: to make something obscure or unclear, especially by making it unnecessarily complicated

I had never heard of this word until it was used in an early X-Files episode.

****-
onomatopoeia

the naming of a thing or action by a vocal imitation of the sound associated with it (as buzz, hiss)
This word is fun to say and all the words that are onomatopoeia's are really fun to say.

Davicams is my twitter name
